Rev. Adebayo Adebisi Declares God’s Help as Limitless at Abuja Transfiguration Service

By Dr. Afolabi Olajuwon

The week-long Transfiguration Services at the Foursquare Gospel Church, Wuse District Headquarters, Abuja, that started Monday, September 15, drew to a grand close on Sunday, September 21, 2025 as Rev. Adebayo A. Adebisi delivered a profound message on the theme “Obtaining Help for All Needs.”

Rev. Adebisi emphasized that divine assistance encompasses every sphere of human existence, spiritual, physical, emotional, and material. He emphasized that God’s help is not an abstract concept but a guaranteed reality rooted in His covenant of love and grace.

Scriptural Insights
Drawing on both Old and New Testament passages, Rev. Adebisi illustrated how divine help is assured: even when believers feel abandoned, God’s commitment surpasses human instincts (Isaiah 49:14–15), as divine help sustains and refreshes, providing preventive and restorative care (Isaiah 49:10).

God’s strength intervenes directly in human weakness (Isaiah 41:10), and divine supply is anchored in God’s inexhaustible riches, not human economy (Philippians 4:19). Seeking God’s kingdom first guarantees the addition of every other need (Matthew 6:33), while grace ensures not only sufficiency but also abundance for good works (2 Corinthians 9:8). True promotion and destiny fulfillment come solely from God (Psalm 75:6–7).

Call to Faith and Celebration
Rev. Adebisi concluded with an altar call, inviting participants to experience salvation as the ultimate form of divine help. He also led prophetic prayers for supernatural intervention in personal, family, and national affairs.

The grand finale featured a combined anointing service conducted by the Transfiguration ministers’ team. Rev. Bashir, citing Mark 1:37, emphasized the urgency of seeking God’s presence.

The gathering also marked a moment of honour as Rev. Adebayo Adebisi’s 80th birthday was celebrated, with Rev. Babatunde Idowu officiating the thanksgiving session.

A Message Beyond Borders
Rev. Adebayo A. Adebisi’s ministration, as framed by the supplied texts and the announced topic, presents a biblically textured, pastorally sensitive, and charismatically expressed theology of divine help. The selected scripture cluster balances consolation (Isaiah), providential promise (Philippians), kingdom-priority ethics (Matthew), communal stewardship (2 Cor.), judicial sovereignty (Psalm 75), and a sober reprimand against false hope (Isaiah 44).

The concluding altar call and prophetic prayers operationalized the sermon’s claims, moving reception from cognitive assent to embodied encounter. For maximal spiritual and social fruit, the congregation would benefit from structured follow-up, accountability for prophetic ministry, and integrated social programmes alongside continued teaching on the theological contexts of the key texts.
