Ododo seeks NASRDA’s support in security, agriculture, others

Kogi State Governor, Ahmed Usman Ododo, has called on the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA) to support his administration's efforts in tackling insecurity, boosting agriculture and food security, accelerating land reforms, and driving development in key sectors. He made this plea during a meeting with NASRDA's Director General, Dr. Mathew Olumide Adepoju, emphasizing the importance of leveraging space technology to achieve these goals.


Governor Ododo assured that his government is committed to partnering with NASRDA to enhance the state's Geographic Information System, facilitating land reforms, promoting agriculture, and ensuring food sufficiency and security. He acknowledged NASRDA's innovative capabilities and urged the agency to provide necessary assistance to support development in critical sectors.


In response, Dr. Adepoju commended Governor Ododo's achievements in infrastructural development and thanked him for adopting space technology to combat insecurity and promote development. He assured that the partnership between NASRDA and the Kogi state government will continue to benefit the state and the country.
