Tantalizers Plc has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to acquire the assets of DanBethel Marine Services Limited, a Lagos-based marine and fishing company. This strategic move is aimed at expanding the company's presence in the blue economy space, specifically in industrial fish trawling, aquaculture, and seafood supplies.

The acquisition, expected to be completed within 180 days, marks a significant step in Tantalizers' diversification strategy. DanBethel's expertise in fish trawling and processing will enable Tantalizers to tap into the vast potential of seafood production and supply chain integration.

According to Adam Nuru, Chairman of Tantalizers, "The acquisition of DanBethel is an excellent strategic fit for us, and we plan to invest significantly in the company's fleet over the next five years to capture opportunities in Nigeria's fishing and aquaculture industry."

Tope Fagbamila, MD/CEO of DanBethel, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that his team admires the new Tantalizers leadership's courage and capacity.

The acquisition aligns with Tantalizers' new vision of expanding into innovative and sustainable growth sectors, with a focus on delivering value to shareholders and supporting sustainable marine practices in Nigeria.
