Two Factory Workers Dead After Falling Into Diesel Reservoir In Lagos

Tragedy struck in the Ikosi Oregun area of Lagos State on Saturday when two factory workers lost their lives after falling into a diesel reservoir.


According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the incident occurred when one of the workers accidentally fell into the reservoir while working. In a heroic but ill-fated attempt to rescue his colleague, the second worker also fell into the reservoir.


Both victims were promptly rescued by the LASEMA Response Team and rushed to the hospital after receiving first aid, including CPR. Despite the medical efforts, the two workers unfortunately succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead.


The LASEMA statement highlighted the importance of prioritizing workplace safety and taking necessary precautions to prevent such tragic incidents.
