Rev. Oresanya Speaks on the Importance of God's Manifested Honour and Dignity

Rev. Babatunde Oresanya urges believers: “Honour and dignity come to those who walk with God in the Spirit.”
A spirit-filled atmosphere enveloped the Foursquare Gospel Church, Wuse District Headquarters, Abuja, on Sunday as worshippers gathered for a last Sunday of the month of October Service themed “Manifesting Pending Honour and Dignity.”

The service, attended by youth and adults alike, featured a powerful message delivered by Rev. Babatunde Oresanya, titled “Enabling the Manifestation of God’s Honour and Dignity.” Drawing his text from Esther 6:1–11, Rev. Oresanya emphasized that “God gives dignity and honour to those who walk with Him in the Spirit.” He noted that true honour comes not from human recognition but from divine relationship and faithful service.

Speaking under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, Rev. Oresanya explained that the manifestation of honour and dignity begins with understanding God’s divine intention for His people.
Quoting Jeremiah 29:11, he reminded the congregation that “God’s plan for His children is to prosper them and give them a hope-filled future.” He added that God desires believers to move forward and rise higher, referencing Proverbs 4:18 “The path of the righteous shines brighter and brighter unto the perfect day.”
He further cited 1 Corinthians 15:41, saying, “Every star differs in glory. We each carry a unique glory that God wants to reveal.”
Rev. Oresanya defined “enabling” as “creating the right conditions through faith, obedience, and humility for God’s glory to manifest in our lives.”

Man’s Role and God’s Role in Manifestation

Rev. Oresanya outlined two key dimensions of manifestation; man’s responsibility and God’s sovereign role.
Man’s Role:
Believers, he said, must play their part by developing intimacy with God, walking uprightly, and following divine instructions. Using Esther 4:13–14 as an example, he reminded the congregation that Esther positioned herself for divine favour through faith and obedience.
He emphasized humility as a requirement for divine honour, quoting Proverbs 16:18 (“Pride goes before destruction”) and James 4:6 (“God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble”).
God’s Role:
Citing Psalm 113:7–8 and Psalm 3:3, Rev. Oresanya explained that God is the one who “lifts the needy from the ash heap and seats them with princes.” He declared that divine promotion is rooted in grace, not human effort.

Referencing the story of Esther, Rev. Oresanya emphasized that divine honour is a trust and not a trophy. “The honour and dignity God bestows on you are meant for kingdom purpose,” he said.
He also drew lessons from the story of Malachi, illustrating how God rewards faithful stewardship and uprightness. Quoting Esther 2:9, he said, “God rewards diligence, faithfulness, and humility.”

A Call to Build Capacity and Walk in the Spirit

Rev. Oresanya encouraged believers to increase their capacity to receive, retain, and sustain God’s blessings, noting that “God will not give you what you cannot handle.” He challenged worshippers to “walk in the Spirit” (Galatians 5:16) and continue growing in faith, integrity, and wisdom to manifest God’s glory fully.

Concluding the message, Rev. Oresanya called on the congregation to live as worthy representatives of Christ.

“Honour and dignity are not titles; they are testimonies of a life that pleases God,” he declared. “When we walk in humility, obedience, and the Spirit, God reveals His beauty and glory through us.”

The Service ended with thanksgiving, prayers, and renewed commitment among worshippers to live as vessels of divine honour in their homes, schools, workplaces, and society at large.
