Season of Restoration Declared as Transfiguration Week Ends in Foursquare Gospel Church, Wuse District, Abuja

The grand finale of a five-day Week of Transfiguration, a sacred observance focused on renewal and divine encounter, was held in Foursquare Gospel Church, Wuse District, Abuja on Sunday, March 8, 2026. The event, which drew worshippers from various congregations, culminated in a sermon on divine restoration.
Rev. Idowu Bashiru presided over the service, delivering a message titled “Season of Restoration Has Come: 72-Hour Encounter.” He addressed the congregation on themes of divine restoration, spiritual surrender, and the power of intercessory prayer, drawing insights from biblical passages including Joel 2:25, Isaiah 6:1-2, and Esther 4:10-16.
The sermon emphasized that divine restoration is not merely recovery but a redemptive process where lost seasons and adversities are transformed. Referencing Joel 2:25, Rev. Bashiru highlighted God’s promise to restore lost years. The concept of a "72-hour encounter" was presented as a period of intense spiritual engagement designed to accelerate restoration.
Further biblical examples, such as Isaiah’s vision in the temple and Queen Esther’s courageous act, underscored the necessity of surrender to God and the critical role of prayer in achieving divine intervention. Rev. Bashiru also touched upon prophetic visions from Zechariah, illustrating God's commitment to dismantle oppressive forces and purify His people as precursors to restoration.
The service concluded with an Anointing Communion, during which anointing oil was consecrated, and prophetic prayers were offered for all attendees. This final act reinforced the message of spiritual transformation and renewal for individuals and the wider community, especially those from congregations across the Wuse District.
Rev. Bashiru’s exposition highlighted a timeless biblical principle: restoration follows surrender, prayer, and divine encounter.
As the echoes of worship faded and congregants departed with renewed hope, the message remained clear, God’s promise of restoration continues to unfold wherever hearts remain open to His transformative presence.
